Ricky Valverde, the founder of Ricky’s Nature Network, is a passionate environmental advocate with a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability and conservation. During his high school years, Ricky founded Ricky’s Nature Network to channel his enthusiasm for environmental science into meaningful action. Now an incoming senior at Grapevine High School, Ricky has been involved in the Dallas-Fort Worth area environmentalist community for many years. As a Student Liaison for Keep Grapevine Beautiful, Ricky has been instrumental in promoting community clean-up efforts and enhancing environmental awareness throughout the region. His roles as Secretary and now President of his school’s Ecology Club have allowed him to lead various initiatives aimed at fostering environmental passion and efforts among his peers.

In addition to his work with Keep Grapevine Beautiful and the Ecology Club, Ricky is a part of Keep Texas Beautiful’s 24-25 cohort of Young Texas Ambassadors. Additionally, certification with the Texas Stream Team program highlights his expertise and interest in water quality testing, where he plays a key role in monitoring and improving water resources. Ricky’s diverse experiences reflect his dedication to creating a tangible impact on the environment and inspire others to take part in the movement towards a more sustainable future.
