New Grapevine Historical Society Article
I recently had the pleasure of writing an article for the Grapevine Historical Society about the Bicentennial Trees in Grapevine. It was a wonderful opportunity to blend my passion for the environment with a piece of our local history.
I had a great time learning about the history of these trees and the efforts taken to ensure they thrive. It’s inspiring to see how a community can come together to honor its past while also looking forward to a greener future.
You can read the full article here.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Texas Boys State and Service in Jackson, Mississippi In June, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Texas Boys State, where I was elected and served as a Precinct Chair. This experience provided me with invaluable insights into government, political processes, and policy-making. During this time, I was alsohonored to be voted as a runoff candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture. I also had the chance to experience the UT Austin campus firsthand , which was a very eye opening and exciting experience.
This experience has further fueled my interest in a career in environmental policy, where I hope to combine my passion for the environment with my understanding of governmental and political systems.
Following that, I went on a mission service trip with Bear Valley Church to Jackson, Mississippi. There, I led a recreational camp and contributed to the maintenance and upkeep of the site and urban garden. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to make a positive impact in the community while gaining hands-on experience in service and leadership.

From my own personal connection with the Ecology Center and the excitement of Dr. Goodall’s visit, writing this article was a meaningful experience. It was an honor to document how her presence has inspired and energized our community.
